Freeze-dried fruit VS Fresh fruit

What is the process of freeze drying?

  1. With a freeze dryer, the fruit is frozen to minus 30 or 40 degrees and covered with many tiny ice crystals.
  2. After the air is pumped, the pressure is lowered, and the sublimed water vapor is drained away.
  3. After dozens of hours, the food loses moisture content.

Benefits of freeze dried foods?

  1. Due to the dehydrated and freeze dried process, there is no oxidation or temperature.
  2. Fruit retains many water soluble trace elements, such as vitamin C, vitamin B1, and some polyphenols
  3. Freeze-dried fruit has a longer shelf life
  4. Freeze-dried foods become lighter and easier to carry, ideal for outdoor adventures or camping
  5. No need to wash, ready to open and eat, or mixed with oatmeal yogurt

Is freeze dried food healthy for you?
